Background: Zachary was born in California to conservative and fairly well-off parents. Their comfortable lifestyle allowed Zach to do pretty much what he wanted, which mostly boiled down to hanging out at the beach, surfing, and drawing. His parents looked upon these choices with general disapproval, of course, and eventually refused to fund his hobbies.
Rather than complain, Zachary compensated by starting a small garden in his backyard, something his parents didn’t mind. What they didn’t know was he also used the garden to grow marijuana, which he sold but never actually used himself.
Things went started to go wrong when his father got transferred to a company in the Midwest. After a few months of depression at the loss of his lifestyle, Zachary started to adjust, took up skateboarding for lack of a beach, and re-started his personal garden.
Which would have been fine, until Zach, thinking his parents would be gone for the night, brought home a boy. Unfortunately, when his parents returned early due to a flat tire and caught them making out. In the hysterical argument that ensued, they ransacked his room and discovered his other hobby.
At this point Zachary does what many teenagers do at a time like this. He packed up everything that was valuable and ran away from home. The difference being that Zachary, being more resourceful than the average teenager, existed this way for months, doing under the table jobs and saving what cash he could with the ultimate intention of returning to California.
Again, this plan was cut short when something strange started to happen.
Kids in his school started to develop strange powers. An agent – who seemed to know everything about him – things even he didn’t know, found him and pulled him off the street and into his custody. Men in black suits start to appear in town. The kids are faced with either fighting back, or becoming lab rats for the government. All the while Zachary keeps his powers a secret, even from the others, unsure of how much he should trust the agent who “rescued” him, who he works for, and why he wants to help them.
Personality: Zachary is very quiet and apparently shy. Which isn’t exactly the truth. Zachary is simply an observer. He can be, in fact, very outgoing and very charismatic when the mood strikes him. He places a low priority on words. The way he chooses to interact with the world is far more visceral. He is something of a hedonist, though not to the point of excess. He does however, like to appreciate all aspects of life and at his own pace. He likes to study things and people, to get to know them not only visually, but tactilely and aurally. This behavior can sometimes lead people to believe he is high. Zachary actually never does drugs because he prefers to have his perceptions unaltered.
These explorations, when they involve people, do often turn sexual, though in all technical senses he’s still a virgin. Zachary is bisexual, though he has a strong preference for his own gender (i.e. a Kinsey 5). He has very little body modesty as a result. Though, being a surfer, he has nothing to be ashamed of.
He is fairly intelligent and diligent, though he rarely chooses academic studies to occupy his time. He is probably the least confrontational person ever, and despite his interest in other people, he rarely shares much about himself.
Abilities: Zachary can animate anything that he draws. As long as he can render it faithfully, he can make it real. He is not limited by medium or surface. If he draws something on paper, he can, with concentration, "draw it out" into a physical form. He can also alter surfaces, such as drawing a door or a window on a wall. His creations appear 100% real. They are not illusions, however they are physically weaker than the real thing, and if enough damage is done to it, it simply crumbles into whatever it was draw on to start with. While Zach CAN create people, he is extremely uncomfortable doing so.

Notes to Add: Zach doesn’t care too much about his clothes. He usually wears baggy pants and a t-shirt, along with a well-worn military style jacket. At least half the time he’ll be wearing his favorite beanie.
